Na Dache: northwest view from west beach Somewhere between the village of Meremõisa and the resort town of Laulasmaa (about 30 km west of Tallinn) is Lena's parents' summer house, or dacha. It's located at the base of a peninsula, so it's within walking distance of two public beaches. This is the western one, which is very rocky, strewn with seaweed, and not as good for swimming. A storm was crossing over the far peninsula (left horizon) so you can only just make out the lighthouse. Further down that peninsula, obscured by the storm, is a set of eight or nine large, modern windmills. |
