Tallinn, Lasna Mae: view of Laagna Tee Lena's parents live on the edge of a section of town called Lasna Mae, which is where the soviet-style apartment buildings were thrown up for miles upon miles. Most of the apartment buildings are in transition from decrepit-and-falling-apart to sharp, remodeled, and looking stylish. Lena's parents' building is leaning toward the remodeled end, finally. Lena took this picture when we were leaving for a brief journey to Latvia to see her brother and his wife and son. |
